By Will Estes
This machine was easy to set up, delivered as promised, and works like a charm. Although my plan was to upgrade the RAM, the preloaded 4 GB appears to be fast enough to meet my needs. For anyone who is upgrading from XP, Windows 7, 64-bit seems to be the way to go, and this machine makes the transition much easier. Micron and Amazon "do good work".

good purchases. but , turn it on first 30 minutes noisy sound from CPU.
I understand that`s Dell`s problem...
I don`t worry about refurbisher item...It`s almost new...
and I strong recommanded windows 7 professional. It might be better than window 8.
Thank you !

By A. F.
I did pretty extensive research before ordering this particular PC. I was looking for great value, but still wanted to have an Intel rather than AMD CPU, with dual-core, at least 4GB of RAM and Windows7 professional included. I also wanted to avoid too much promotion-ware: software I don't need slowing down the computer that usually comes with good deals. This particular deal of less than $250 was the best I could find. Thank corporate fast renewal cycles for releasing many of these solid systems back to budget-conscious consumers. The system arrived promptly and was exactly as advertised. The kids are very happy with it.
Please be aware that this is a refurbished/resold system though it may look like new. Another thing I noted with this model is that the side panels tend to be slightly off-place after opening the case, which leads to a rattling sound. At first I suspected an old fan bearing issue and was worried I'd have to return the system, then I pressed the side panels into place and the noise was gone. Just make sure they are in place (press them firmly in). A healthy system should be almost silent. Dell could have done a better job by adding some muffling/sealing material along the edges of the metal side panels.
This is a pretty big box, not a SFF/USF (small/ultra-small form-factor) and has a lot of room for expansion and add ons in case you need them.
