The screen was a good size with supposedly good resolution, but it looked horrible. I tried to change screen settings but to no avail. Everything had a fake quality to it, like it was super saturated and poorly digitized. The processor wasn't that fast, it hung up for several seconds at a time, haven't had that happen in a while. Also, the speakers weren't that good, and the keyboard was small. I returned it after about a week of fiddling with it, not worth it at all.

We had been in the market for a new computer and while shopping around and pricing in Bestbuy they had a stack of these on sale in the center isle. I got on my phone did a Amazon price check and "surprise" Bestbuy had a better price. This does not happen often but when it does it is sweet !
This came loaded with Windows 7 I was excited took it home hooked it up went through the setup I liked the computer but it just seemed like such a waste of a touch screen with Windows 7 nothing seemed to work right. Now don't get me wrong I like and have been very happy with Windows 7 but on a touch screen it just is not built for it. Gateway has a built in option for a separate area to use the touch screen but it was a major PITA to use it since the main computer itself didn't work right. So I went through the process and installed Windows 8 and wow is that a difference.
This thing works amazing now with a touch screen. I am extremely happy with it and so far no compatibility issues with any of my programs. This desktop even plays games including world of warcraft great. of course a lot of the games themselves don't work with a touch screen yet. but I am sure they will all get updates eventually. and until then you still have the option of using a mouse and keyboard.
I have been very happy with this computer. My first Gateway and so far I have been impressed with it. My 4 year old is even able to get on the computer now since it is a touch screen much easier for her to use we have purchased a couple games including a piano app from the Microsoft Store and she loves playing it.

It is hard to figure out how to adjust the screen brightness! It's not behind any plastic, it's not on the unit's exterior, it's not on the keyboard... If you search the help, it sends you in a circle from one help page to the other, back to the first one. It's too bright to use at night. FAIL. I found it eventually, after many hours, under "screen resolution" which makes NO SENSE
